01About
I’m the person you’d talk to. I’m also the person who does the work.
A strategist who executes.
I started this practice because the split between the people who think about growth and the people who make the work had stopped making sense to me. Every plan I saw was written by someone who would never have to ship it, and shipped by someone who was never asked whether it was right. A strategy is only as good as what gets made, so I do both, and the second half is where most of the week goes.
The work is growth strategy, positioning and messaging, founder-led content, content systems, paid acquisition, creative testing and growth experiments — chosen in that order of importance, and only the parts your constraint actually needs.
Working with me looks like this. We find the constraint before we pick a channel. I write the positioning myself, then the ads and the founder posts that carry it, then I read the numbers and tell you what I think they mean. If something didn’t work, you hear it from me before you see it in a report. Most of it happens in a conversation rather than a document.
By referral, I also work with a small number of real estate and local service businesses. Same thinking, different constraints.
03How I work
Five things you can hold me to.
- 01
What is true beats what is trending.
I would rather find the one thing that moves the business than run the five that look busy.
- 02
Strategy and execution in the same chair.
The gap between the person who decides and the person who ships is where most marketing goes wrong. Here there is no gap.
- 03
Say what you won’t do.
Every plan I write includes what we are deliberately not doing. It is the most useful part.
- 04
Read results without flinching.
If something didn’t work, you’ll hear it from me first, with what I think it means.
- 05
Decisions in a conversation, not a deck.
When something needs to change, it changes that afternoon.
04Not on this page
Not on this page: A list of past employers, a years-of-experience number, or a photo from a conference stage.
None of those tell you whether I can find your constraint. A conversation will. Ask me anything you like on a call.
